goodbye Korea... for now...

WE GOT THE JOB!

After a bit of confusion in communication and cultural difference, we finally came to an agreement and landed the position we were praying for. Thanks to everyone who was praying for us in that regard. We are happy to have secured a good job for next year before leaving to go back home. It is a government affiliated school and there is great job security and benefits. We will gain experience in teaching Korean public school teachers, mothers, and other adults. We will also teach some selected high school and middle school students from time to time. We have met some of the staff and are excited to work with them. It is also nice because we will be able to leave many of our things in Ulsan while we are in Canada. We also know where we will be living when we return, which is a nice feeling (it's not an old and cold building!).

Now we're just preparing to return home in about one weeks time. We are excited to get on the plane and begin our journey home. We have been working straight without many holidays. This years holidays were all on weekends, and stat holidays are not carried back or moved forward. This means that if the holiday is on a Saturday or Sunday, you won't be getting any extra days off. This happened to be one of the bad years for holidays as most of them were on the weekends. But next years calendar is looking a lot better.
